Most masters come from a bloodline of mages, either all masters, or possibly sorcerers or some other kind of spellcaster. Their magic and command over their servant comes from the force of their willpower, bending both the wills of the servant and the laws of nature to their whims. Masters are spellcasters that sacrifice the power of their magic to forge a link with a heroic spirit, known to them as their servant. The knight points his blade to the heavens, a holy light surrounding them all, and the thugs are disintegrated, the knight safe and sound. As the knight enters the stance, more thugs surround the knight, who merely smiles underneath his helmet, as the woman flees a bit from the scene. A thug tries to attack the woman with a flail, but is parried by the knight slashing back at him, the knight in a battle stance.
